Located in the heart of Copenhagen, in the old Snarens neighbourhood, just a few minutes walk from Gammel Strand metro, and on one of the cosiest streets, Kompagnistræde, you will find Norrlyst in an old half-timbered house.

We have decorated Norrlyst with a focus on quality, small details and used food in our decor, so don’t be surprised to see all kinds of jams, oils, vinegars and schnapps on our windowsills.

Our concept is simple: For lunch we serve modern sandwiches which can be enjoyed with one of our many different homemade schnapps and special beers. After lunch we offer both dessert and coffee.

In the evening, the intimate atmosphere is even more apparent in the restaurant and we spoil our guests with our signature menu based on the best seasonal Danish ingredients.

We change our menu throughout the year, in line with nature, so there is always a connection between what nature has to offer and what we serve on the plate.

wheelchair friendly

Unfortunately, Restaurant Norrlyst does not have wheelchair access as the restaurant is located in a basement with a steep staircase.

There is also no access to a wheelchair accessible toilet.

Companies and time limit

At Norrlyst, you are considered a party when you are between six and 25 guests. For parties, we ask for a pre-order of menu and drinks as well as information about any allergies and dietary preferences to ensure that the evening goes according to plan. The same menu must be chosen by the entire party, subject to allergies and dietary preferences.

Companies have the option to arrive at the following times:

Lunch: If you arrive between 11:30 and 13:00, you have the table for 2 hours. If you arrive after 13:30, the table is yours until 16:00. A full-day lunch at Restaurant Norrlyst has a minimum spend of DKK 750 per person.

Evening: 17:00, 17:30, 19:30, 20:00 and 20:30.

If you book a table at 17:00 or 17:30, you have the table for 2 hours and 15 minutes. If you book a table after 19:30, the table is yours for the rest of the evening. If you want a full evening reservation at Restaurant Norrlyst – e.g. from 18:00 to closing time – we ask for a minimum spend of DKK 990 per person.

We ask for a small deposit of DKK 100 per person. This is because we hire staff and order ingredients for your visit. The deposit will be deducted from the bill on the evening.

Allergens and dietary preferences

For party reservations, we ask the entire party to choose our set lunch or dinner menu to ensure the best possible experience for you all. Of course, we always take allergens and special dietary requirements into account.

We would like to have your final menu selection no later than 7 days before your visit. For reservations with shorter notice, we ask for the information as soon as possible.

Pre-ordering also applies if a vegetarian menu or main course upgrade is required.
