Kjærbøllings Hus in the Zoo is the perfect setting for a classic Christmas lunch in cozy and authentic surroundings in the heart of Copenhagen.
With a view of the animals and a warm atmosphere, Kjærbøllings Hus offers an atmospheric Christmas buffet that includes all the beloved Christmas classics. The buffet consists of both cold and warm classics such as herring, chicken salad, fish fillet, rib roast and risalamande – all served with a selection of drinks ad libitum, including beer, wine and soft drinks.
Named after the founder of the zoo, Kjærbølling’s House is a listed house in the garden where the food is the center of attention, giving everyone a rich and delicious Christmas experience as you know and love it. With the option to add extra specialties such as gravlax and duck leg confit, you can tailor your Christmas lunch to perfectly suit your guests.

At Kjærbøllings Hus, you are considered a party when you are more than 12 guests. For parties, we ask for a pre-order of menu and drinks as well as information about any allergies and dietary preferences to ensure that your lunch goes according to plan.
Kjærbøllings Hus is open for lunch every day of the year.
It is only possible to visit Kjærbøllings Hus via. Zoo, which is why you must have a valid entrance ticket to visit us.
In Kjærbøllings Hus, in addition to our large restaurant with room for 120 diners, we also have two adjacent function rooms, Løvetamarien and Balistæren, both equipped with AV equipment.
On our top floor, which of course offers a fantastic view of the zoo, we have meeting rooms in several different sizes, all fully equipped with AV equipment.
Kjærbøllings Hus has hosted everything from meetings, conferences, Christmas parties and product launches to golden weddings, student parties and galas.
We look forward to giving you a wonderful experience with views of lions, people and camels.
For party reservations, we ask the entire party to choose our set lunch or dinner menu to ensure the best possible experience for you all. Of course, we always take allergens and special dietary requirements into account.
We would like to have your final menu selection no later than 7 days before your visit. For reservations with shorter notice, we ask for the information as soon as possible.
Pre-ordering also applies if a vegetarian menu or main course upgrade is required.
